Description
Call For The Ambulance Feat. 111 Ambulance Song is one of New Zealand’s most popular children’s books and songs. Launched in 2018 the book has sold over 8000 copies so far and the song was NZ’s highest charting kids song in 2018.
The life-saving book and song empowers children with the knowledge of how to react in an emergency and dial NZ’s national emergency number 111. It was written to support the St John in Schools schools education programme and proceeds from every book go to St John Ambulance Service – NZ’s Most Trusted Charity. So far author-songwriter Chris Sanders has been involved in projects that have raised more than $30,000 for St John from book sales and other initiatives.
This Picture Book and Song has become the go-to book for Kindergarten to Primary aged Children and a great tool for parents to help teach their Children the 111 emergency number. It’s literally a step-by-step guide for Children about how to call an ambulance should they find themselves in a situation that requires this action to be taken, asking questions such as:
- Would you know what to do in an emergency?
- How would you react under pressure?
- Could you locate the phone in an emergency and do you still have a home phone?
- Are you confident enough to pick up the phone and dial 111?
- Do you know your home address if the emergency is at home?
