Mittens the children’s song is all about the adventures of Mittens (HRF) around the city of Wellington. There is so much fun, adventure, cheekiness and plenty of giggles to be had in this song – for little and big kids alike!
The official song has been written by 2020 Tui Award nominated Children’s musician Chris Sanders and local Wellington resident, Natalie Conaty. It has the full blessing of Mittens and his owner Silvio.
Together with Mittens and Silvio, we have chosen to support the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand through a portion of proceeds from the song and we will be revealing more about this nearer to launch date.
In a year that has seen so many people suffer from issues around loneliness, isolation, separation we believe that Mittens is a great ambassador in bringing people together and spreading joy. Chris, Natalie, Silvio and Mittens cannot wait to reveal more details about the song launch soon – but first…

On behalf of Angel Star Publishing House (Herein known as ‘ASPH’), we thank you for your interest in submitting your photo to us, so that it can be assessed for potential use in the “Official Mittens Music Video!”
By submitting a photo(s) to us you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to the following terms and conditions.
By submitting your photograph(s) for use in the video you agree to grant ‘ASPH’ a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sub-licensable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, create derivative works from, distribute, make available to the public, all copyright and publicity rights with respect to your photograph(s) worldwide and/or to incorporate your photograph(s) as part of the video in any media now known or later developed. If you do not want to grant to ASPH the rights set out above, please do not submit your photograph to ASPH.
Furthermore you agree that, without further approval from you, we may exercise the rights to use the photograph(s) for the promotion, marketing, and publicizing of the video in any media known or later developed. For example, we may use and publish the Images on our website or third party websites, in our print, broadcast and digital advertisements, in our marketing materials, and in connection with our promotional events. The right and license you grant us is perpetual, irrevocable, exclusive, royalty-free, unrestricted, worldwide, and transferable without your further consent.
You understand and agree that we have the option, but not the obligation, to use the Image you submit to us.
We will never publish your contact name or contact details anywhere.
By submitting your photograph to ASPH you:
- Warrant that your photograph is your own original work and that you have the right to make it available to ASPH for all the purposes specified above;
- Warrant that your photograph does not infringe any law or third party rights.
- Agree to indemnify ASPH against all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may be incurred by ASPH as a result of your breach of the above warranties; and
- Agree to waive any moral rights in your photographs for the purposes of its submission to and publication by ASPH for the purposes specified above.
- Agree you are 18 years or older or have the permission of a parent or guardian.
These terms and conditions shall be construed and interpreted in accordance with New Zealand law and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
